The project aims to be an innovative community intervention platform with the temporary installation of a ship container that serves as a HUB or laboratory to work with in the neighborhood at street level. This module will be installed and built through the collaboration of the community and will serve as a point of reference to fix and energize the rest of the public space.
The methodology is proposed through two work spaces, spaces for dialogue and collective reflection where needs are identified and proposals are proposed and a space for collective construction of the resulting projects, guaranteeing participation spaces with technical and structured support in five work phases.
In the initial state of the project, the prefabricated construction or maritime container, will serve as a work space to build and enable the rest of free space, through the construction of street furniture, games, stairs, railings and landscaping. Then, once the construction and urbanization of the space is finished, the container will be a new equipment for the neighborhood, self-managed by the entities that will use this new outer space and the city will gain a new public green space and quality temporarily until in the future the real burial of the train tracks will be carried out.
The Module will be a space of reference for the neighborhood and an engine of transformation and empowerment and with this project we intend to give access to culture, technology to citizens as well as the right of decision and design of public space, to guarantee leisure areas healthy and quality, thanks to socioultural and educational activities.
